In my ragtop S1 in winter I fit a fume curtain to the front hoodstick, which makes a sort of canvas back to the cab part. It's easy to fit and remove, but means that the cab area does get warm from the heater. I am sure that someone will make a similar one that'd fit a 90.

Well, I've been out today and bought myself another Defender to knock about in, and I managed to find a nice one, low miles, and it's a pick-up! So, thanks for the replies but I went for the easy option in the end, now I've just got to sort out a few niggles on it that will no doubt come to light over the next week or so..... Thumbs Up

[quote="landys1"]... also one of pickup with tonneau cover fitted, keeps everything dry! (also for sale).

Hi Andrew,

Is the tonneau still available? (I can't PM as I have only recently joined the forum.)

Many thanks,

hafman

Hi Hafman,

That post is from three years ago and the chap hasn't posted here for nearly 18 months, so I wouldn't get your hopes up. Darren

I am now half way through swapping my van top for a pick up cab; I have removed the rear door & head linings, unbolted the roof and sides, but will wait for a second pair of hands to help me lift them off tomorrow.

Meantime, three quick questions...
A: I notice that there are narrow (vertical) gaps on the outer edges of the bulkhead just behind the front seats. The gaps are perhaps 5mm wide, and perhaps 100mm tall. Fairly sure this is "normal", but whilst fine for a van it is possibly less good for the pick up roof (c/f drafts etc Embarassed ). Have others sealed these gaps with either a strip of rubber, or maybe just some sealant?

B: The rear washer tube was routed up the near side windscreen pillar; obviously this needs to be removed / capped off. In order to do so I need to remove some of the dashboard / coaming. Does anyone know which screws need removing so that I don't end up stripping out more than I need?

C: One of the rear door hinge bolts won't undo on the inside so will need to unscrew it from the outside; the Phillips screw head is HUGE and I will need to buy a new screwdriver; does anyone know what size it is?
EDITED TO ADD: Seems it is a #4, which I don't have. Might just drill it out Embarassed

Many thanks!
