If what you are saying is right does that mean every time the vehicle is put to standard it should have the pilot correct done again ?

Yes....

That is why when you change or update the standard calibration using Land Rovers own IDS/SDD diagnostic system it automatically forces you to do a pilot learn after changing the calibration.

Just as I thought from memory from doing my last SDD update, but i don't recall it doing a VCV reset as part of the process I will check on SAMs 2.4 to clarify as it's been a while
But I do know for a fact that all these functions can be implemented into a remap and it's device with ease.

SDD is not always needed.

That's because it doesn't.... as mentioned in the previous post it does the Pilot Learn.

Whether other companies/tuners agree or disagree with me it is up to them... ... in my opinion it should be done, and so I do it.

I follow a process - and it's process I will stick to. If other people think it's unimportant thats of little concern to me.
