Removing Blanking Plate for Radio
Quite a number of references to removing the blanking plate on the forum.

What's the definitive way to get it out cleanly without damaging the surrounding trim? It certainly seems to be a tight fit.

I know what you mean, no one has come back and said how.

No guru willing to share their expertise and experience? Really don't want to go in hard and possibly do more damage! Had a look and the panel seems to be in very tightly and with no room to get fingernails or a little leverage down the sides.

I'll start by saying, I don't have a puma and have never worked on one, but I have worked on many vehicles over the years and have found the if you try to pry any trim out from the front it will inevitably damage the surrounding trim with the lever your using. From what I have read on here the centre part of the dash unscrews reasonably easily, so it would be best and safest to unscrew the whole centre dash section and push the blank out from behind. You will probably find a couple of push in tabs at the back that will release the blank.
