washer jets
The front windscreen washer jet is missing on my 110. Stolen/yobo who knows. How difficult/easy is it to replace .....for someone who needs the dummies guide to reading dummy guides!

Steve they just push on.....i've super glued mine on as i lost it every time i went the jet wash Thumbs Up NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY

Paul 55 tried washer propellors,but the water went everywhere but on the screen. 2.4 90 XS

Mine broke off in the ice...dealer said its a dash out job...1.5-2 hours labour....for a bit of plastic??????
There is a bit of it left sticking out...can i push a new one on?
where can i get one online?

Did I read somewhere (here or elsewhere) that it was possible/easy to mod the washers so the hose actually runs along the wiper arm, squirting exactly where you wipe?

I've read the same thread somewhere. I've seen it done with the old dash. http://www.reedx.net/landrover/mods/wipers/index.htm. I'm not sure how much trickier the Puma dash would make the job though. Being soft I've put off looking until the weather warms up. Peter

Think I've got to the bottom of this Grockle, used airplane props have now changed to submarine props much quieter and stealthier Laughing Cogito ergo sum

Wasn't it MSE (from memory) that ran his pipes along the wipers? Sounds like a good idea although I guess you'll get more freezing when it's cold. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

Also read somewhere about winding a thin copper wire around the header pipe (I think), then onto the washer hoses, so it acts as a heater to stop the freezing..... don't know, sounds like it could work. Mark

Hi and welcome Mr Boots you can get them on Ebay cheap and try to super glue the new one back on...if you need it straight away just pull the one off the back window for now....I think there about £4 also when mine came off the first time i thought it was broke but it just pushed back on NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY

You need a wire made of a resistive metal like nickel. Copper would just blow like a fuse.

Them bloomin dealers .....Mr Boots it appears the working mans interpretation of 1.5 - 2 hrs ripping the dash out is:

1. get AMR3025 from somewhere like here who deiver for the next day http://www.britishparts.co.uk/.sc/ms/bdd/ee/2395/WASHER%20JET

2. spend 30 seconds pulling the shaft away from the jet (I soaked mine in boiling water to help ease it out)

3. Push the new jet on to the vehicle

4. Treat yourself to lotsa lotsa alcohol with all the money you've just saved.
