Adding a second perimetric alarm sensor
Has anyone, or does anyone, know if it is possible to add a second alarm sensor and how to wire it up to the alarm system.

I'm thinking of adding one for the pickup after some scrote decided to open the tailgate on my newly acquired Truckman top to have a peek. Fortunately, it's only the spare wheel in there at the mo which is locked.

Cheers

An additional door switch would be easy... so if any one opens the upper or lower tailgate it would trigger the alarm. You only need to run one wire for this - which can be picked up from in the roof harness or similar.

Also means you won't set the alarm off if you have dogs etc in the back.

Thanks Ian, that is a much simpler idea and worth doing Thumbs Up

I had considered that but a switch alone wouldn't be enough if someone wanted to smash the glass and reach in to grab any goodies lying around.

However, keeping a dog, particularly a psychopathic breed with big teeth permanently in the pickup would be a great idea. Laughing 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful

Fit both but in line switch the sensor. (Must be hidden perhaps in the cab)
That way up you can turn it off if need be. I have thought about it with my dogs but it's quite a little job cable routing and hiding everything. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧
