what's broken today ??
after a trouble free year with my 09 puma 2 things albeit minor things have gone wrong today, firstly the heated rear window has stopped functioning (not the fuse ) and the park function on the windscreen wipers has packed up so they stop where ever they happen to be when I turn them off I didn't mind this on my td5 but it annoys me on my puma, is the park switch removable like on earlier models ??

If you have the original heated rear window with high level brake light, you will probably find a break in one of the elements as it passes underneath the plastic brake light cover. Later heated windows have the elements passing around the brake light cover. If you search on the forum other members have had this problem and have either had the window replaced under warranty or repaired. Thumbs Up LANDYWATCH

The park switch is identical to the Td5. If you search on here you should be able to find a "how to" I wrote when I changed mine. It's a bit of a hassle due to the one-piece dash but can be done.

Just a thought- both happened at the same time? Maybe something has come loose/ rubbed through either in the back door or where the hinges are?

Regarding the high level brake light. It will probably be a break in the element in the driver's side beneath the cover. I folded a piece of tinfoil from a chocolate bar into a strip about two inches long and ran it from the soldered piece on the element outwards. I covered it with a piece of insulating tape, refixed the cover and continued on.Been working ever since. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Any one you can get off the kids! Had used a piece of wire as a temporary bridge but it lifted one day and one of the troops had some chocolate so I used the tinfoil. It's been 100% since Mr. Green As it's out of warranty etc etc... 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I can perhaps post some photos to explain the technicalities of this repair. Rolling with laughter 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

the foil is a good idea, I've been messing about with this conductive paint with little joy, I found out the dog has been scratching the window
