Clutch Replacement
Hi

I'm new to the forum and currently have 2 disco 1s, a v8 and a 300tdi, both off road prepared. I'm going to be swapping out the v8 disco for a defender very soon (too thirsty!) but in the meantime I fried my clutch on my 300 reversing my trailer up steep slope off road and I've been told that the 130 clutch is beefier than to 110/90 versions. Is that right?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The Discovery 1 was fitted with the same clutch as the 90/110 tdi, the 130 tdi's were fitted with a larger clutch plate and this can be fitted to 90/110's and Discovery tdi's. It's usually called the HD clutch, Valeo is the supplier Land Rover use.
