Touch up paint
Hi, I am going to pick up some touch up paint for my white def 110 td5 05 plate. I just thought I would see if anyone has any particular recommendations on supply of this due to quality or ease of application. Essentially it is for touching up the occasional spot rather than anything of any scale. Thanks Sweatysock

I received that from my dealer when the truck was delivered new. Looks like a little bottle of nail polish. Shocked
Interesting that in the bottle, or on the little brush, the paint looks grey-ish, and not Santorini black. When I once asked my dealer about that, they showed that when you use the touch up stick, the paint color when drying changes from grey to exactly that Santorini black....
Sofar it is still sitting unused in a dark cool storage. Was not needed yet. Thumbs Up You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

If you ask nicely at a halfords, when they're mixing up a larger amount of paint (aerosol, tin etc) they will have some left over and they put it in a touch up pen/brush like the gen LR one.

I repaired a dent with one of their aerosols and the colour match really was very good! Got 2 free touch up pens too.. Cheers, David

Is there anyone with direct experience of using an "Auto Paint Direct" touch-up product, for example this one on eBay:

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390613766264

which says it is solvent based and does not require a lacquer coat.

thanks Trevor Wright

I bought from that vendor to sort out some stone chips.

Paint was/is a very good match, dries fast and after a bit of polishing it is hard to tell where I applied it.

You really do have to shake the little container for at least 2 minutes.
