Side air vent just fell off my new 110!
Just gave the Landy a quick wash and the side air vent just fell off! Sad

She was new in July. Top build quality Land Rover.

Are these just held on with a bit of glue? There don't seem to be any fixings at all, just completely smooth on the rear side with a small amount of glue holding it on Shocked

Maybe i should replace it with something else?

That's a damned strong detergent you've got in your bucket Shocked There should be pegs sticking out of the vent cover that are moulded into the plastic, get on the phone to your dealer and get them to sort you another one. The broken pegs are probably still in the sockets in the wing which will need pushing through before a new one is fitted. If you were having to do the job yourself I'd just put a thick bead of silicon sealer around the opening to act as a "glue" and stick it back on, or it's an excuse to purchase a raised air intake Whistle

Fair point but some prat nicked the air inlet grille from the drivers side wing on mine a few nights ago, rang the main dealer and a new one is less than 4. It's amazing what some people will steal.

I wonder if it just fell off?

Went out to mine last weekend and it looked loose, next thing it's on the floor:

Does it just press on and pull off?

I just ordered one of these.

I thought about going to the dealer but i guess the new one would fall off in a miles anyway. This one seems to bolt on - much better solution.

If you don't want it happening again (dealer fix) you don't want a snorkel / RAI then I would go for KBX.
I have a SS painted "Puma" one mainly down to price, does look good and does the job but still like the KBX. Sadly the downside is price. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

From what I've read on this forum, it's quite a common issue. As you say: Top quality LandRover engineering! 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold)
Looking for another to replace it.

The road less travelled.... is a muddy one!

I notice that there is a intake duct on the inside of the wing in this picture. Does anyone have a part number or a link to one? I don't have one on my truck, the pipe just rattles around the engine bay.
