What is seeing the Defender off is E.U. pedestrian safety laws. Also driver safety and emissions. The new pedestrian safety rules come into effect in September 2015. Cannot see why L/R would stop making them before then. My dealership tells me there is a 5 month waiting time now.

The question for me is when will the order book close for the less common varients as I need a pick-up. Have heard it will close earlier for these. Want a 2015 one so intend waiting a couple more months before ordering.

Anyone got any info on order book intentions for 110 pick-ups??

There were some models, that i was told could now not be ordered.. Think the 110 pick up was one of them Question California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

There is bound to be an end of the line special edition, if only for 90's. So expect production to continue into next year.
Cannot see why L/R would stop making them before they have to, especially with the gap before the replacement.

Pick-up order book close, not sure about that!

The problem now is we lose the ability to negotiate on price. Is JLR playing a clever game here?
Has anyone been able to get the price down while pre-ordering?
Anyone got experience to share? Seems to me the current 5 month order book makes getting a discount unlikely.

Just been to my local dealership and all orders are now 15MY. Thought I was in time to nip in and grab a blue one but not.
So no rush for me anymore. Might have Aintree Green now.
They don't half rob you with the options and accessories. Ribbed aluminium undershield £497. Just a pressed sheet of aluminium! I will do without.
