Use keys only instead of remote-control and keys?
I want to get rid of using the remote-control on my Puma and only operate it with the key in future. Someone told me to change the country-code in Setup into GB to be able to do that.
So is this right, can you guys with GB-countrycode leave your remote-contol @ home?

Yes we can, but locking it with the key only means that it doesn't switch the volumetric sensors inside on. Used for when leaving the dog in.

This would be one feature that interest me, but most important would be that then the immobilizer is off when starting the car with the key! Now I can't start it!

Hi,

If you locked it with the fob and now haven't got it, you have to get the 'code' from Land Rover which you use the key in the drivers door lock.

I know. But I think it's only temporarily; so I will have to do this procedure every time I want to start it..!?

I do belive that if you lock it with the key the imobilser will not arm iself. All it does is lock the doors- that is how the older8AS unit worked. Maybe just experimenting is the answer
