Hi All
For sale is my is my Satmap Active 10, including Southern England and Naional Parks maps pre loaded and with CDs. The Active 10 is an easy to use hand held GPS which displays raster mapping such as OS, OpenCycleMap, IGN. You can plot routes, POIs and view key statistics such as distance, time, speed and ascents. Routes can be planned on your PC and then transferred to the unit. This is an ideal peace of kit for Greenlaning or cycling. Package includes, Active 10 GPS, case, cables, Batteries and two types of backing for the case, instructions. RRP is £250, mines on offer for £150 inc postage. Hi
Maps can be uploaded from any PC, they usually come on a CD or SD cards. SD cards fit directly into the unit Hope this helps |

Sounds good but maps are expensive so would need to find a source for maps otherwise it might not be the deal that I think it is 110 D250 SE HT

As far as I'm concerned, the Active 10 is THE best GPS device out there for route planning (overkill for just a GPS logger).
Originally bought for my biking stuff, it's fantastic for navigating green lanes with a 1:25K map, although 1:50K would be ok. I have 2, yes the maps are expensive and no you can't copy them. You can borrow maps as they are not locked to the device, but as the SD card has a license file relating to the physical SD Card ID, it makes cracking/copying the cards very difficult and I don't believe it's been done. I think SatMap are feeling the money pinch at the moment as they are working on a new device, therefore, they have some crazy "Flash Sales" every few weeks where the maps can be bought for a bargain.
