Whilst I'm talking about Gracie, here's a bit of info about how an Aussie Defender is configured.
We only get one version of the "90", but it comes with the following as standard equipment, & is described as a "90 Station Wagon". "Standard" comprises: Heated rear window & rear wash wipe, green tinted front & side glass, rear folding step, sliding side windows, under ride protection bar, brunel finish grille & headlight surrounds, cloth trim, electric front windows & central locking, air conditioning, cubby box, front & rear rubber mats, Boost alloy wheels & Conti tyres, Locking wheel nuts, F & R anti roll bars, disc brakes, alarm, Audio with sub woofer, bluetooth etc, anti lock brakes & traction control, Heavy duty suspension.
Options we chose were: Keswick with Indus roof, front mudflaps, Side steps, Partial leather seats, Cold climate Pack, Dual finish alloys, aluminium undershield, driving lights, chequreplate-sides & guard tops, moulded wheel cover, Audio connectivity system, tow pack.
Anyway, that's about it, I'll try to put up some shots of her in the workshop.
Cheers, Pickles.

I'm quite shocked they've had it all this time and it's only just in the workshop! Do they deal with loads of Defenders?

Don't know about lots, but ULR is one of the oldest Land Rover Dealers in Aus, & they certainly sell their allocation. "ULR" stands for "Used Land Rover", which is how the business started many many years ago, ......selling Used LandRovers!
Look, we'd have liked it sooner, but they've had a couple of mechanics away, & we wanted a particular person, the "Workshop Manager" (been there 18 yrs--knows Defenders VERY well!) to do the work, so He is doing the work, but fitting it in when he can.
Anyway, it's getting closer. The only "issue" we have is that in a couple of weeks we're off to Adelaide, a 2000K+ round trip, so we're not sure whether we'll be familiar enough with Gracie to go in her or not?
Cheers, Pickles.

Oh well if you've specifically asked the manager to do the work I can understand the delay. You MUST take Gracie on the trip to Adelaide! She'd be gutted to be left behind!! She be run in nicely and you'd have the perfect opportunity to really bond! Not to mention showing her off!

You're right!! Of course you are, & of course she should go, BUT ya hear all those stories, on this site, of "Turbo Hoses Coming Off", & like issues etc, we don't wanna get stuck in the middle of the Bush, maybe a couple of hundred Ks from anywhere, with an issue like that. So maybe she needs to do a bit of local running to make sure things like that are OK, before "venturing forth"?.....Our "distances" are a bit different than yours!!!
Hopefully, today or tomorrow, we'll go over & get a few photos of her in the workshop.
Our other car is an AMG C63, which believe it or not will not get us there any quicker, with the ridiculous speed limits we have in Aus (100ks)....it is a lovely car for sure, but we would prefer to be going in the Defender, which we feel will also be "lovely", but in a different sort of way.
Cheers, Pickles.

You'll be fine, just take your tool box! But I do get what you are saying about being stranded though. When I was 18, (28 yrs ago!) I drove alone in a battered old Holden Kingswood from Melbourne to Yappoon (north of Rockhampton) and had no concept of the isolation and potential risks due to the vast distances without any hope of assistance if I'd broken down. It was only when I arrived at my destination I discovered I had no tools to even change a wheel! But I loved Oz and am very envious you live there. Are you Australian or British?

I'm English...actually 50% Welsh & 50% English....my parents emigrated here in 1958, from Manchester.
Wifey is also from England...she came out in 1965 with her parents.
Although I'm a naturalized Aussie, I still consider myself to be British, it was lovely to go back in 2001, I still barrack for M.U. & I will be cheering for the Poms in the Ashes which start today.
Australia still is a great Country, BUT, no where near as good as it was...I tremble to think what it will be like in another 30 yrs or so.
Wifey & I would love to live in the U.K., but lots of family here now, too much stuff here etc,...but, as the saying goes, "There will never be another England".
Cheers, Pickles.
NB: I have a friend living in Yeppoon. He owns the "Peter Brock Experience", which is located there...a MASSIVE collection of Peter Brock's (Australia's most famous touring car driver, since deceased) cars & memorabillia.

GUM,....Neither can we.
When speaking to them yesterday, there has been a bit of a stuff up in ordering some of the accessories that are to be fitted,.....they forgot to order a few of them!!... so there's another couple of days delay whilst they arrive,...but she's sitting safely in their workshop at the moment.
Cheers, Pickles.

That's interesting - I applied to move to OZ in 2008 but was told we are too old as both just over 40! I'd swap countries with you in a heart beat Pickles. I'm proud to be British and think there are many great things about living here, but it's not as nice as it used to be and the weather is Censored !
Shame you have to wait that little bit longer, but hopefully it'll all be worth the wait in the end

Separated by thousands of miles , but the manc in you still comes through.
As a season ticket holder at mufc , my defender graces the directors car park . Next time there i will take a photo of it next to the Bentleys .
Mine was new in march 7000 miles no hiccups
Enjoy your new ride
