[For Sale] Howling moon 1.4 tourer with stargazer annex
An expanding family means a move to ground tents...unfortunately.
This is a 2010 model and has been used for 2 summer holidays to France and 2 short breaks in the uk. In short, a fantastic tent in pretty much, as new condition, apart from a split seam in the groundsheet of the annex. This is a heat sealed join in the pvc that has given way, that I have repaired on both sides with tenacious tape.
It has not lived on the roof of my land rover permanently, being stored in the garage out if season. The annex is the extended version for lifted land rovers but fits my standard 110 perfectly, as can be seen from the pictures.
We bought the stargazer annex as we felt it was a more sensible and practical option than the standard annex. It is lightweight and has doors in both sides as well as an awning type affair at the back.
The only other modification is that I have rotated the channels that hold the mounting bolts through 90 degrees to facilitate side mounting on my roof rack. This also involved cutting around 200 mm off the length of them. If they were to be returned to the original fitting a couple more holes would have to be drilled in the base of the tent.
This really is a cracking tent and I am only selling up due to an expanding family, with a plan to move to oztents.
