A long way round would be through a grommit already in place, there's a few on the front bulkhead. there's a big one in the front of the passenger footwell where the steering column would come through on a left hand drive, then out of the bonnet gap and up the door pillar. I have a heavy duty Brownchurch roof rack with bars down to the window hinge doobreys. Another way could be to lose the rear washer jet and use the existing hole.
I have seen where a fellow member on here(I.AM_a Driver)cut a slot out of the rib that the door seal attaches to and ran his coax out that way. |

I don't have an RAI or snorkel fitted although I can see the advantages of doing so.
Removing the rear washer jet is an option but a compromise. Has any one tried replacing one of the backdoor hinge bolts with a hollow bolt? |

This is something i have thought about myself as i hate drilling holes in my cars i have contemplated the idea of replacing one of the rear windows (the ones either side of the rear door) with a polycarbonate version and drilling a hole through that and feeding the coax through that with a grommet then you could always replace the original window if you sell the car or no longer have a CB. 2005 Td5 90 XS

Don't overcomplicate the issue. Here's the simple answer, just run it out through the door....no drilling, no window replacement, no hole/slot cutting!

Cable entry from near the rear crossmember is relatively straightforward, entry can be gained via the rear light wiring loom grommets either LH or RH, remove the protection panel from underneath you will find a large grommet with the Lighting wiring, remove inner trim panel if fitted, feed cable from underneath, hey presto its inside, from there upwards inside the trim panels and along insde the roof guttering.
