Tilt fitting
Collected my double cab from dealer yesterday, but the tilt does not appear to be fitted correctly. It is all flappy behind the cab and I can see holes in tub, but what am I missing? Is there somthing that fixes this part of the tilt to the tub?

Photos would be great.

Hi Andy

There should be an ali channel fitted to the rear of the cab that the tilt fits in. It does stop short of either end and you will see gaps. I got mine about 90% water tight but it is tricky.

Obviously can't take pictures as I have sold mine but if you post a picture of the problem area then maybe I can give you some more help.

Light right angle channel with a number of slots cut into one edge. These fit into the front pockets at the lower leading edge of the tilt & other edge has a number (4) of holes in it through which dzus 1/4 turn fasteners are fitted.

If you look into the holes in the tub you shouls see a spring clip running diagonally across it.

Ahh ok so I'm missing some bits. No Ali channel on mine or fixings, just got the galv angle that is part of the rear tub with the above mentioned holes in it.

Censored best get me wallet out. Big Cry

Any idea of part numbers? Rolling Eyes

I would get the supplying dealer to sort it out as they should have been with the vehicle.

With the number of DC's about without the tilt there must be some for sale somewhere. When I sold mine the buyer said he was never going to fit the tilt.

Edit

This may help Thumbs Up

Andy

You many want to look at getting some protective type coating just round the outer edge of the rear tub to stop the metal eyelets of the tilt subbing through the paint where the lashing hooks are.

It not much of an issue, just looks scruffy when you have the tilt off. Russell

Thanks bob. So I need parts 17, 18 and 19 then.

Russ, what type of protection would you recommend?

As SC said, cab end are parts 24 to 30.

17 to 19 are the side and rear end cleats.

Yep, 17 to 19 on my diagram Thumbs Up You may need 22 and 23 as well (4 of each). These are the spring catches for the dzus fasteners.

24 and 28 you may or may not need. They were for the ropes on the non zipped version rear flap. My 2009 was one of the first with a zipped rear flap so I guess yours is zipped and well.
