turns out that I have a 'policy' - think its a private pension that expires in Feb next year.
no unit they got in touch with me last month I'd not only forgotten about the policy but also thought it was written off when I cashed it in. I presume that's not entirely the case now but suspect what actually happened was I cashed in what I could and the rest was simply frozen. I can't recall but I suspect what was frozen was only £100 or so. the big question therefore if it was £100 back in the late 80's whats it gonna be worth next Feb ? I'm guessing it ain't gonna pay the mortgate off but at the same time could do with some good news - perhaps enough to fix my car? |

Had a letter from my pension co recently, similar situation. They say that the managenet costs are more than the interest so its disappearing fast

got a blackberry torch and I've not only had a missed call but which shows the phone number but its apparently in my phone book under 'pension review'.... is it possible a 3rd party can put their number into your phone cos I don't ever recall putting it in??
also I had a text recently which I must have deleted unfortunately cos at the time I thought it was some waste of space like all this PPI stuff that you get. in hindsight the timing is perhaps more than coincidental? the amazing thing is it was talking of £1000's (one of the reasons I dismissed it)...... being ever optimistic I wonder if I put more into this pension than I thought and maybe this call and text is all for real ? ![]() |

Much like our endowment policy, you give then a shed load of money and they give most of it back after many years of doing nothing with it. I might as well put in in a box under the bed for all they did with it. I'd have been fudged with the mortgage if I wasn't laid off from work and got a redundancy payout.
