Removing air filter housing
I wanted to remove mine to check again the play in my steering box-links-arm and the manual says to remove the aircon compressor/gas etc - WTF Shocked
I can't see the exact reason nor can I see the bolt heads to remove the filter box.
The manual drawing isn't exactly very helpfull.
Anyone taken theirs out yet?

Filter box is held in with four pop rivets look under wheel arch you will see four large pop rivet heads this will release air filter housing.

Thanks

I did notice some 6mm bolts in the wheel arch. Could these be in place of rivet heads and release the filter box?

Mine where rivets 4 of them directly below filter, i drilled these out then just pulled free from rubber grommets, all i needed to do was release to enable me to fit snorkel and seal all joints making them water proof, not a nice job, to remove completely you will have to remove viscus fan guard and pipe directly above air box, all the best.

The only pipe running above the airbox is my aircon pipe Shocked
Think I am going to leave it there after all and get LandRover to Embarassed sort the steering knock at February Service.
