I have now moved away from MTs and am running with the Conti Cross-Contact ATs and love them to bits, great on and off road, they wear really well and touch wood I have yet to get stuck with them on the 110... In fact I have been winch-less for nearly 18 months now and do not feel at all concerned, they just keep on going...

Brings about another question... Are tyres becoming too aggressive?? Are this sort of tyre making off roading too easy? Whistle

+1 Smile
Been running on Continental cross contacts for a few months now .. great on road, and impressed well on some serious off roading ... easily followed 2 MT tyred vehicles on some challenging routes without ever failing.... in fact on one SERIOUSLY steep section, mine climbed it with the least fuss! Cool

I agree, most MT's are overkill .... seems the design is more about 'catching the punter' than capability Whistle Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.
