Gods own Country
For those of us that live in Gods own Country or moved away as missionaries to other parts of the world.

Happy Yorkshire day. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

I'm spreading the Gospel in Scotland.

The phrase "a Yorkshireman is a Scotsman with the Generosity removed" is something I hear up here quite a bit Smile Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

We have a saying that a Scats man might be canny but a Yorkshire man is tight he'll have short arm deep pockets and nowt in em except holes.

In response I would like to point out I am indeed a Southern Jessie and in the sunlight down here the sea glimmers a shade of 'bali blue!' Most beaches are blue flag (also Bali) and you can swim in it with want abandon with no risk of you bumping into what you flushed a few days previously! I also think the great North - South divide exists with an imaginary line between Watford and Gloucester! I cannot remember the last time I saw either a whippet or a flat cap! In further reflection I think Fekete may have had a flat cap folded in his truck at the weekend!

As a Southerner we are taught that if you cross the imaginary North - South divide you may suffer from headaches and frequent nosebleeds from the Ancient Northern custom of beating the Censored out of each other on every street corner on the weekend! Women included! (I've watched Police Camera Action).

Fekete has invited me up but I'm too frightened to go!

So does the divide actually exist? Laughing

Taken from this thread about the North/South Divide and if it exists?
