Do you want to see my French trip?
No, stick your car up your jacksie, I'm interested in Land Rovers only, not scenery and architecture.

Yes please, as long as your car is four wheel drive, we can imagine a Defender being there.

I know a few people on here would like ideas on where to go and what to see.

I can put a thread in of the trip I just did, one picture does contain a 110, though I know some people are a bit funny about it not having Defender related content Rolling Eyes Laughing
So I'll run a poll Mr. Green

Andy - I think you to wait for some time after the jabs to test whether it's worked or not. May be a few months before you are clear to go. Unless it's changed but that's what we found. Might want to check.

All changed in jan. You can now travel as soon as the jab has been given, but can not return to the uk until 21days after the injection, although to go to France you have to wait until 21 days after injection to enter. So simple Sheep .

Basically just wait 21 days

But thanks

I'm not surprised people said no, it is a Defender forum, I appreciate that.

Tim, where did you go?

Anyway.....

The original plan...
We didn't have any real idea of where to go, so we just booked the train and shot from the hip. Though the brief to the nav (mrs Greeni), was to find hotels with secure parking... As the novelty of the 'new to me' car hadn't worn off!

First place we stopped at was Reims, beautiful clean city, with a mahooosive cathedral.

The food was awesome, though I am spoiled as mrs Greeni is such a great cook! As you can see, I'm not a big drinker...

Next day, off to Annecy
I liked the big cock Wink

Bad shot, I know.

First stop, it was around 33 degrees and I made a schoolboy error of noy getting the air-con gassed before going :frustrated:
Did I say I'm a big Defender fan?

The hotel view was not bad

Lake Annecy was busy, as one of the cleanest lakes in Europe and very popular, it has a cycle path around it that stretches for around 30miles!
Shocked TODAY I MISSED THE 90, it would of been ideal, bikes for the cycle path around the lake and kayaks for on it Big Cry

A great place for families, for sure.

See if you can spot 'Le Dix hommes'

The town was beautiful too, with 'average' food, but a FANTASTIC ice cream parlour made up for it.

Next day we headed up a hill.
See if anyone can spot what I did here?

My camera is only a point and squirt thingie, so I pointed it in the direction of Mt Blanc, zoomed and clicked, I'm quite happy with some of the shots.

Bizarrely, there weren't many skiers?

Gorge du Fier was the next visit, I'm not a fan of heights Embarassed
€10 for the 2 of us, it was amazing, mrs Greeni reckoned it was worth it to see my legs not working.

Troyes was the last stopover, again, great buildings, average food and we had the noisiest mf hotel ever, as the street below amplified the sound into the room, not a great nights sleep before the 400 mile jaunt home.
