Just bought one !
Ordered one today Razz - just worked it out - i've wanted one for 28 years !. Gone for:

110 Utility XS in Zermatt Silver with the following extras:
A frame protection bar/aux driving lamps/winch/undershield
Chequerplate kit (along sills only)
Rear step bumber/tow kit etc
SVX alloys with Cooper Discoverer STT's
Front SVX Recaros (a surprise treat from the wife to help me through my mid-life crisis Shocked )
Battery back-up for alarm
Tracker

I've insisted on a factory order too (will be able to have proof that it is) - don't want one that's been sitting around. Will be given an est' delivery date by the end of the week - will be sometime in Feb 2010. Got v/good deal as will be reg' in the last month of the 59 plate.

The countdown begins ........

Well done - you probably won't regret it. I've had mine for over a year - zero problems and I still love it (a 'keeper') - there's just nothing else quite like it.

Portugal 2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS DCPU Rimini Red
The Defender/ Series had always been in the back of my mind for I don't know how long. I can probably trace it to my first experience when I was about 12 (that's 40 years ago) in a Series II SW (it must have been a Series II considering the dates) and going up a very steep hill off road with no prior warning from the driver. I can still remember I was in awe.
Moving to Portugal and considering the state of some of the roads plus the wide availability of off road tracks was the trigger. Had a SIIA for a few months and then decided to make a LR my everyday car. Drive my 2009 Crew Cab everyday now (about 15.000 km since May) and I am looking forward to it each time!
Love it to bits. Never missed a beat and now with the BAS upgarde, it flies! Boldly going nowhere

Discovery 3 after a Defender 110 Crew Cab TD4 and a 1964 SIIA 88 Regular.
