Ok we didnt take my Defender, but took my mates M5 across to germany to visit the Abenteuer Allrad German 4x4 Show, the 'Ring, and back via the alps.

Is the Discovery 3 in picture 28 (I think) matte silver? Looks nice!

Looks a great trip Adsey! Shame not to take the Defender, but the M5 does look good! Would probably have been cheaper in the Defender though! (And about 3 times as long!). Thanks for putting the pics up.

Speedo at 140MPH+, tacho at around 5900RPM.....gotta love that.
I'd love to get our C63 over there......not much chance of us doing those speeds in the Nanny State (Mark Weber!)

Not so sure, M5 seemed to be doing better mpg's at a cruising speed than the defender would! Cruise control set for something sensible and it would do 25mpg maybe a bit more! Obviously on the twisty roads getting your foot down that soon dropped

Great road trip.

some nice 4x4's at that show (what show was it?) not just the LR products, the G wagons and Jeeps looked good.

Was the Abenteuer Allrad Show, meant to be the largest 4x4 show in europe.

Lots of stuff i didnt get pics of, too busy looking round.
