| eutek Member Since: 03 Mar 2009 Location: High Wycombe Posts: 586      | I don't know if it is the same sound you hear, but recently I reported to the dealer that my brakes would squeal when coming to the end of a straight run.
 During the service they took off the wheels to investigate and supposedly adjusted the brakes. While the squeal is still there (and worse), the vehicle now makes a strange "knock" when I set off or slow down. It doesn't appear related directly to the gearbox... it happens when the vehicle picks up a bit of momentum, or there is a bit of force from a downshift or slowdown. It sounds like someone tapping the chassis with the handle of a screwdriver. | ||

 you cant adjust disc brakes! the squeal is Glazed pads they need talking out and cleaning up with emery paper. 2.4 90 XS 1968 1/32 scale Britains 109 Pick up. | ||

 it just amazes me the crap they come out with, I was told our truck didn't have grease nipples on the propshaft when I asked why they hadn't been greased,the service manager still has a grease nipple mark on his head  2.4 90 XS 1968 1/32 scale Britains 109 Pick up. | ||
