1992 Defender 90 200 Tdi HT Zermatt Silver

ECU reflash

Does anyone know how long it should take the main dealer to re-flash and update my ECU? They have told me to bring the 90 at 17:30 to have it done, but knowing them they will probably want to keep it for two days! If I have an idea how long it really takes I can stand my ground and get them to actually start the work at 17:30 and have it finished the same day.

It took me 8 minutes to flash my ECU before I took my 90 in to the stealers... And another 8 to flash it back after!

Not sure if the workshop has a faster tool for flashing the ECU than my BAS box.. ... ,-------,

I would think 30 mins would be ample... You should only be getting a new ECU flash, not the unflash / reflash I had to do.. ... ,-------,

I need to clear an old tune off of the ECU and get the latest software updates

I had this done to mine once and then I couldn't reload my BAS remap. Pete sorted it though.

This is the reason I'm getting re-flased, to put a BAS tune on the truck, just not happy with the amount of smoke that the tune I have on it at the moment is pumping out. (Not a BAS tune BTW!)
