United Kingdom 2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Orkney Grey
BAS 2.4TDCi New Remap

BAS are pleased to announce the birth of a brand new Defender 2.4TDCi remap.

This, in no way, is a update/upgrade to any existing re-map as this is a totally new product designed from scratch using our newly acquired rolling road and, depending on modifications to your specific vehicle, will give an increase of up to 45BHP and 100mn of torque.

As per a recent thread started by Guy this map offers a much longer and smoother torque curve and is designed to be used both on standard vehicles and more so in conjunction with vehicles fitted with de-cats, larger intercoolers, bigger turboís and snorkels/RAI either individually or in conjunction with each other. Guyís thread can be found here: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic20297.html

It has taken many, many man-hours of testing and time on the Dyno but we would stress that, as all Defenders are slightly different, the gain could be slightly higher or lower than the figures quoted above so please donít ask for a vehicle specific graph (we can provide a generic graph but as you have not been to our dyno we cannot give you a specific one for your vehicle) but we, and all of our testers, are extremely pleased with the way the vehicles drive on the road with no reported flat spots whatsoever.

For those that wish to upgrade their existing BAS map to this new product we have set a minimal charge of £54 inclusive to cover of admin time and a specific ordering/payment process is in place which can be found on our website here: http://bellautoservices.co.uk/products/def...on-centre/

The password for the page is defender2 so PLEASE READ the instructions first and then follow them very carefully as due to the low cost of this product we donít have time alocated to help with the process hence the very clear instructions on our web site.

For those that are looking to have a BAS remap interface for the first time the cost of this re-map including the interface is now £519 inclusive of VAT and postage to UK Mainland as an initial forum offer (usually £595 on our web site).

Regards Pete.

Depending on work load we will aim to process all orders the same day, In some cases due to demand and work load as well as forum bombardement it may take a little longer. 150bhp & 170bhp Autobiography Smooth Tune for Puma 2.2TDCi available at BAS. We Pave the way, the rest just follow!

Pete,

Sounds great, but I'm abit worried I might have trouble with my computer like last time or might make a mess of the process of putting the new tune on my defender. Embarassed

Doh! This upgrade really does sound fantastic. Pete advised me that my map was relatively mild so not to over stress the auto box so I assume this one is not for me. But from memory I still have approx 70nm more to play with. Mind you it has still made a huge difference.

I would be interested in hearing from people who are used to their current map and then what they think of the new map. Not tempted to go to manual.........nope definitely not........no, no...don't tempt me Neutral BM52

bm52,, your map is a little weaker yes than a manual map on recomendation of Askcroft to maintain warranty and relaibility. We could make the torque wider and harder once the box has hit lockup speed but to be honest you would not gain much from it.

On this occasion your car could not really gain much more without pushing the gearbox over my agreed limits with Ashcroft.

Pete, sounds excellent and im very tempted by this. My insurance is to be renewed next week so the timing is good, however, at the moment I have no upgrades in the cr other than an a Mantec RAI, if I get a map and then at a later date purchase a new intercooler when the car is out of warranty (next april) would you do an upgraded map for free or do I need to start again?

Cheers

You wont need a new map for the new cooler, the engine sensors will see the air differences and compencate.
