John, I got my VED renewal yesterday & it's gone up to £225 now!

Tiger, not all roads are paid from local taxes. Main trunk roads and Motorways are paid from Central or National governments such as the Scottish Government up here.

Booked MOT & service, will have winch & new bumper, Wipacs & more accessory sockets fitted for the summer. Thought in for a penny... Dog Sheep Sheep Sheep Might as well enjoy my wheels.

WRT series/ leafers, I'd like the classic Idea Snigger Idea look rather than late 2As & 3s Idea Ner Ner Idea look.

But can they be had in decent safe condition for sensible money? I'd go for LWB if poss (a S1 107 would be nice Bow down ).

Otherwise a 2.5 petrol 90 or 110 coiler. Whistle Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender
