They make them from scratch then galvanise. ONE LIFE, GET IT!

I see Richard'd Chassis advertised each month in the glossies. Has anyone bought from them? Do they use new OE chassis or recondition old ones, then galvanise them, or make them completely?

Mines a Richards chassis, fitted by them (well, marsie on here did it).

Drove a 200 tdi for 19 years. In that time I had to replace the rear crossmember and outriggers at 16 years into the life of the vehicle. Finally retired it two years ago but with the renewed crossmember and outriggers I'm sure another 16 years would have elapsed before anymore major surgery was needed. Replacing the rear crossmember and a few outriggers every 16 years is a lot cheaper than replacing your chassis - unless it is rotten. The tdi chassis was and still is in great shape. Vehicle now in storage. My advice is that if your chassis is good keep it. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
