Fitted one for a customer as he wanted the flush fit lights, overall - packaging really well packed very proffesional. stainless brackets which i liked and the lights fitted the holes pretty well. The bumper itself i wasnt keen on as even though thicker than standard the depth of the bumper is a hell of a lot thinner so you have a massvie gap from the wing and bumper

Is it a Flatdog bumper fitted to Lishlandys X Tec that I saw at the L R experience day, lots of corrosion around the holes cut for the lights and water in one of the DRL's

I've had a PM reliably informing me that Lishlandy's DRL bumber is not a Flat Dog one ...

Lish had one of the early bumpers and he has had it through quite a bit of water, all our bumpers are now fully prepared in red oxide along with etch coating and then painted. We are replacing the one on Lish (steves vehicle) CSK Automotive

Perhaps posting that up instead of threatening me via phone and text may have been more professional

Seriously sort it out Matt, your acting like a kid. To clear this all up with everyone. I ordered some leather from Matt and asked him if it was possible to put CSK in the leather for future work as i will be buying a few vehicles for building and selling, his reply ' no not interested ' so i thought ok, He then insisted all trim now comes with FCX printed into it, which my customers will not want so i received a refund. I have now sourced our own leather which i WAS NOT! going to post on here so to not step on each others toes. So thats it basically we have fell out over some thing as stupid as this
![]() ![]() I would like to make it clear i do not want this to become a massive debate or argument, and i will not comment on any of matt's (Go Beyonds) posts to prevent any provoking debates CSK Automotive www.cskautomotive.co.uk Like us on Facebook - www.facebook.com/csklr Follow us on Instagram - @cskautomotive |

Bit like handbags at dawn
Killer, you do come across as a very young and inexperienced businessman. People get aggrieved in the way that virtually every post you make is an attempt to sell or give a biased opinion in favour of your products. People want to listen to other members tried and tested views on products and make their decisions based on that. A forum is no good with site supporters taking every single opportunity to throw their products down people's necks. |

As with all products everyone will be biased. But i too gave the advantages of the flatdog bumper. The only other bumper i can vouch for is the Alive one very very well made and finished

In reply: I have put a considerable amount of time, effort and money into building a company based on my 25 plus years of enthusiasm for Land Rover. I have exclusive manufacturing rights to the FCX steel cubby-box, Radiobox, Radioswitchbox, Expedition lokbox and Jerry Can lockers and I personally designed the FCX battery kill box. I personally employ a professional automotive trimmer - he and I spend a lot of time trying out different ideas, coming up with new designs and fabricating items for the Defender. I'm telling everyone this so they get a feel for the passion and commitment that I have for my company .... When a 'youngster' comes along with a 'spark' and showing the same enthusiasm that I have then I took it upon myself to offer him a helping hand, offered him a big discount on the leather parts for his 90 that he asked for, didn't charge him extra for the white thread that I bought in specifically, allowed him credit ... When that young man then put my pictures of my products on his website firstly the FCX battery kill box only (and this can be proven by the Wayback machine) he called it the CSK battery kill box - exclusive to CSK without my permission, I was a little miffed and asked him to remove it. This was then followed by an advert on Ebay for the CSK cubby box available to order (again, pictures of the cubby that we had built) Yes, I declined to brand FCX leather with CSK, and yes I declined to supply CSK with any further products I'm here for the long haul, I'm building a 'Brand' in FCX, something I can be proud of and if that means I don't want it passed off as someone elses product, well, I don't apologise for that ! If CSK are now buying leather clad products from someone else then good - I welcome competition, it keeps prices keen and product innovation at the forefront - Killer, bring it on ! |
