There are good ones!
Just incase theres anyone who's thinking about getting a Puma, and only finding faults with them all over the internet (as I did before I got mine), there are good ones!

Mines done 8200 miles in just over 4 months, and it's been absolutely perfect! It had the occasional burp in France when it had only done about 1000 miles, but that seemed to fix itself and it's been fine ever since.

I know two people who both got Pumas, had a load of trouble with them and got shut, so I was a bit reluctant to recommend them to people, but I think I possibly would now.. maybe - They seem to have got most of the niggles sorted.

Although I guess it's the same with any new model, there's bound to be faults. Although I guess with the different environments the Defender is expected to work in there'll have been lots of faults to find, and I'm sure there'll be more issues... Whistle

But yeah, not sure why I felt the need to post that, I guess just so people know that there are good ones!

Poisitiveness for change! Glad to hear all's well Warren. Ours is pretty well behaved too and we love it. Mind you the bad stories we hear on here really are the worst cases and they don't help my paranoia much!
Happy weekend.

Picking mine up tomorrow so this is a reassuring post to read.

Need to make my checklist today and make sure I go through it objectively and not get blinded by the bling!

I can second your comments Warren.
I've had my 2007 90 Puma - and have had no problems. It runs great even though I travel back and forth extensively from UK to Gibraltar (often in bad roads).
I am very pleased with my truck.
Can't faulter it

Mine 110 is working great, even if it has some problems, but not so important.
I've done a list of things to do that I'll take to the LR garage next week.

The only serious problem is the sleeve from turbine to intercooler wich have been damaged, rubbing against a bolt. Matteo

I've yet to have a bad experience with any Land Rover thinking about it. Theres a very early 200Tdi in the family that spent most of its life on a farm in the Lakes, now it's on ours and spends most of it's time lugging diggers up and down fields, the rest of the time it's just sat in a field. Starts first turn of the key whatever the weather, no matter how long it's been standing.

Then I bought an early 300Tdi which had one owner for 13 years, and that just spent every one of it's 13 years being abused. That was the same as the 200Tdi, never put a foot wrong. Well, I tell a lie, it did shear a brake disc, but that was due to shoddy maintainence from it's previous owner, can't blame it for that.

Aaaaannyway, I've gone a bit off track there, I'll post pictures of them on here at some point.

But the Puma is living up to the reputation of the others!

Also unrelated, glanced down at the speedo at the right time the other night, pulled over and took a picture of this...

Ever so childish....
