What is the capacity of carrying weight in the back of a 110?
Thanks EDIT: Think I've just answered my own question - 1,009 is the payload, but that has to include any extra passenger too. Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Have a look at your VIN plate - subtract the Unladen Weight from the Gross Vehicle Weight to calculate it exactly.
It is about 1000KG give or take. My blog - www.anacreinhampshire.blogspot.co.uk 110 TD5 BuildHERE - sold! 110 Tdci Build HERE - sold! Passat Alltrack - 4x4, auto, 45mpg, gloriously comfortable - but not a Defender! |

The only reason I was asking as yesterday, I might of been around the limit (or a little over.....) A lot of the large rocks are sandstone, so not as heavy as they look. Click image to enlarge Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

The reason I asked is that there was a big load in there and apart from going up some hills, you couldn't even notice they where in there.
Not sure how much all these rocks weighed, but I think they'd be a lot more then 1000kg. The back didn't sit too much lower either. Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Wouldn't want to be in an accident with that unsecured load in the back

I'm guessing you drove home in rear wheel drive , there wouldn't have been much purchase on the front as you faced skyward . I once put a 1tone bag of chips in the back of my 1966 S2A . I was doing a wheelie with the leaf springs bent like upside downwards bananas .

Well that was the thing, it wasn't.
I should of taken a side shot. It was dropped very slightly on the back, but the front remained fine. Didn't even feel it in the steering. Maybe it was spread out a little better than the bag of....chips... That's one hell of a dinner! 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

Credit to the carpet too, although I put some towels over, the wheel arches took a lot of the weight. Carpet cleaned up like new!
