painting a fuel rail
I think I will tidy up the fuel rail on my Puma as it is a rather nasty corroded mess (mustn't complain it is almost 16 months old)

Can I use any old paint - Hammerite, enamel, chassis black et-al, or does it need to be one of the heat proof paints?

Thanks K9F, I've actually got some of that.

Welshgas, it's gone past that I'm afraid. Hidden under a Noisekiller blanket I missed it despite my otherwise quite exhaustive AC50 / Dinitrol programme.

the fuel rail is made by cast iron, it is no t rust, only oxidation........

perhaps not beautiful to see but it's not a problem.

The common rail reach 80°C...
