Think he was on with Ray Mears. They were looking at the pioneers who mapped Australia. This Les bloke I think had worked with the natives and Army sourcing food/ water etc for the forces to survive. Think he started as a Helicopter pilot

Used to use a 110 in the TV series . Developed "snack maps" for the army. Always been a great Land Rover man. Used to be the "face" of Land Rover in Australia but they dropped him a few years ago saying that he was not the image they wished to portray anymore. Idiots, if anyone was to inspire me to buy a Land Rover it would be Les. Was into the living off the land thing long before Ray Mears was born, with all due respect to Ray who I also admire. Got a bit of a shock when I found out that Ray had heated front seats in the 110!
If you ever come across any of the Bushtucker man TV series give it a look. Great advertisement for the Land Rover 110. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel 1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu 2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai |

Judging from a whole load of the pictures in the videos, it is before my childhood............ Just checked the dates and can confirm that I am too young to be remembering it. Glyn ![]() ![]() |

Used to be the best program on the telly - I keep hoping they'll release them on DVD. Still, there are a few episodes on YouTube for those that haven't seen it! (Was it really twenty years ago that it was on?...) Peter

There are DVD's available on Amazon and elsewhere, Google is your friend, and those who use torrents can find them on the piratebay and kickass torrent sites.

I am making up watching them now
![]() Well, maybe I wasn't too young, but harsh times back then meant we didn't have a TV on the farm for a period...... and haven't had one for the past 2 years either!! Glyn ![]() ![]() |
