BALA Forest - Winching, Repairs, Bridging and Reco
Me and a few of the guys were out in Bala forest at the weekend. We’ve done this a few times now and the terrain had all changed again with the rains last month washing out all of the tracks creating 3ft ravines in places that we had to bridge over or ruts we had to break out of with boards to stop us grounding out. Pretty extreme in some places.

I bought sand ladders years ago and have never used them before but this weekend the winch and ladders came into full effect and I learnt a lot of new things. Here’s a little video of the day.

Or read more details about the event itself here, http://bendifroot.com/2013/03/bala-adventu...owrangers/ Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos.
