Alaska White - help me recolour
Hi Guys, my 110 is Alaska white with black bumpers and wheel arches and front grill, its very bog standard looking but I cant afford a complete respray right now, so was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how I can add a bit of colour to make it a little less white.

I live in southern europe, so a black roof isnt a good idea because of heat absorption, so any other ideas? Question

How about zebra stripes? Could be done with vinyl rather than paint. Darren

how about fitting a full length roof rack, such as a mantac, that will then act like a solar toppe as in the early 'safari' top series landrovers ..... Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html
Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold

Well, couple of problems there im afraid... the LR lives in an underground car park, it barely sneaks under the door now, has about 10cm clearance, so i expect a roof rack isnt the best option right now Sad

How about going a little bit 'Fire and Ice'?

Just don't do the roof?

Or maybe go for old-skool county/ defender decals (Sold on e-bay)- been tempted to do this to mine but not too sure how it will look on a metalic car Confused

or

Just a couple of ideas (It is still early Sad)

this is how it looks now...

https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/gr97...directlink

im getting some BFG KM2's on it and will buy some new wheels when i decide on colour coding.

The obvious route seems to be the "fire and ice" scheme, but im not that keen on black and white, its nice, but not sure... would like some more colour... i could do the same with another colour, but not sure would work well with white, bearing in mind i already have some black trim on wheels, wheel archs and front,.

This colour scheme might work with white

Blue and red and black, but no idea how to get them together in terms of a defender body

^^^That would look pretty good, the more I think about it the more I like it.

Maybe ask the photoshop gurus on here to make up a picture.

I have never liked cars/ trucks that have both and always thought it looks out of place..... but I guess that is a personal thing. The main thing is that you like the look of your truck.
