A trip to the Lake District
Took the Land Rover to the Lake District last weekend to enjoy a few days walking and climbing with a group called Wine Friends (who have a lovely fleet of defenders in company colours). Stayed at the very picturesque YHA Wastwater residence, and took the opportunity to drive over the Wrynose Pass and the Hardknott Pass - which were both closed due to the conditions Smile

The icy Hardknott was no problem but snow covered Wrynose proved a little tricky on account of a couple of abandoned 4x4's blocking the way - if you can call a Freelander a 4x4? Mr. Green So got to use the Defender in anger on some treacherous off road - as did a local farmer in a Defender also using the pass without a struggle, with a lovely collie hitching a ride in the back.

Could't stop to photograph the really bad bits of the passes, and wouldn't stoop low enough to photograph and shame the Freelander fools (which could so easily have been me!) but the top of the pass provided a fairly clear bit of track to pose for a few scenic photos. Hope you like them.

The sharp eyed among you may notice one of Killer's DRL bumpers adorning the front of my wagon. Cool
