Decat Pipe again
Having received my Decat pipe i was very disappointed that it didnt have the brackets for the heat shield to be fitted to it..

What have others done to overcome this?

If I choose to just empty out the cat box instead of using this badly made decat pipe, are there any negatives I should worry about?

Is the heat sheild required if there is no Cat?

The decat pipe won't get hot like the temperatures the Cat reaches. Craig Rogers

I read on this forum that the heat shield has to be re fitted. If it doesn't that's a bonus. Can you (or someone) confirm please.

Thumbs Up That is spot on. The turbo and manifold will get hot but there is nothing in the vacinity for it to affect. Been running mine without heat shield for 2 years now without any issues.

Fantastic. thank you.

Now to decide if I want to use this one or get a copy made. The bends are all wrinkled on the inside and what looks like flux (i think its called) has not even been cleaned off of the welds. Welds look perfect though. "Overlanding With Bruce" - Youtube https://www.youtube.com/@OverlandingwithBruce

Bruce, where did you get it from? Locally or imported?
