Headlight bulb upgrade
I know this has been discussed a few times but I'm looking for opinions on which are the best bulbs to go for, there are the "ring" "osram" and the philips, which are the best ones to buy?
thanks

I have Philips. No complaint here does exactly what it says on the packet. 19.99 on E-bay. Thumbs Up Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

I fitted Osram Nightbreakers, at the start of the winter, well pleased, great high beam, about 11.75 on ebay.

Osram Night breaker plus are a great bulb, but I would also consider upgrading to the Crystal Wipac bowls and that pairing seems to give the best legal light output.

I also have Osram night breakers. With the wipac crystal bowls.

Amazing improvement over standard and for the money, no regrets. However, compared to the led sidelights the osrams look a bit yellow. Maybe the Phillips are the better bulbs to go for?

Another vote for crystals with night breaker plus lamps. Got mine from amazon direct at 11 a pair for the Osram's. no experience of other upgraded H4's so can't comment on how Osram's are compared to Philips etc.

Cheers

Steve

Land Rover now offer upgraded H4 bulbs themselves, and not expensive either. I had those in my SVX before I changed to the Speakers, and they were a very nice white, (so not blue-ish), definitely much crisper than the original H4's the truck came with. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Thanks for all your input fellas, I already have crystal bowls fitted but have been running with the bog standard H4's, which I must say are diabolically poor, I have decided to try the nightbreakers, @11 off fleabay I could always try the Philips at a later date Thumbs Up Optimists say the glass is half full..
