Out of curiosity really as I traded in my early 2007 Puma ages ago but I was wondering how the early Puma doors, bonnets etc are holding up against corrosion? Steve.

More likely to get a little bit of corrosion on bolted on bits. i.e. rear ladders and things like that. But their coating is 5 years old or more. _\Hennessey|Venom| F5/___

I saw an 07 parked up near my work recently, the rear cross member and step were badly rusted - didn't realise that it was an 07 until I saw the plate. It must lead a hard life, it looked much older!

I have a neighbour with a Puma around 3 years old. It's used offroad all day, and rarely washed, it looks a real mess...lots of corrosion around the rear crossmember, all the bolt heads are corroded, with rust streaks down the door from the rusty door hinges. The rivets above the rear wheelarches are also a mess.
When I park mine near his, I'm sure he sneers about mine being kept in cotton wool ![]() |

So we can assume then that the all steel doors introduced in the late TD5's and carried over to the Puma are a step up in terms of longevity. Shame they didn't carry on waxing the Puma chassis, that said even when they did the job could be vastly improved upon. Steve.
