Peaks Protest 'Back to Tarmac' - Next Round!
I’m just doing these short videos in support of the Peaks Protest and I don’t have any official link to the organisations co-ordinating the protests. This is just a short piece explaining when the next protest is and to dispel some myths being propagated by our friends the ramblers!!

The TRF victory over the PDNPA & the Chapel Gate TRO could be short-lived because the Authority has a meeting arranged for the 25/1/13 at the PDNP Head Office in Bakewell to close it again.

I know its a Friday but its vitally important we make a lasting impression at this meeting.

The bodies figting against this require as many Trailbikers and 4 x 4 vehicles as possible in the carpark at Alderny House BEFORE 9.00am. '' (Peak District National Park Authority, Aldern House, Baslow Road, Bakewell, Derbyshire, DE45 1AE)

Every TRF Group, every motorcycle and 4 x 4 club, try and be represented and bring your vehicles (road legal of course) and bring your Club Flags/banners for identification as we will be on TV, in the papers and LRM are planning to write a feature on the event.

The purpose of this is to persuade the Authority that it will be easier to work with us than Ban us. We want them to stop wasting the publics money and sit down and talk with us...........

Tell your friends, tell the Ramblers, tell everyone we are coming to Bakewell on the 25th........more the merrier. Please post this on your forums.

I understand there will be various 4x4 and trail riding representatives in the meeting and the theory is if we have a massive turn out of cars and bikes showing club banners etc, making a bit of noise but generally peaceful protest to demonstrate the level,of,support and strength of feeling.

There's talk of some kind of,drive along a planned route afterwards but I haven't got detail on that yet!

Excuse for a load of us to get together and have a chat and see a few different motors if nothing else!

I've chatted to a load of,guys on forums about all kinds of stuff and be good to put a few faces to names!

Cool. I'll bring that Warn sticker for your winch. You need to see Tommy about your club decals!

You are correct about the mail, but you replied/quoted the guy (Supacat) asking for more details of the day... Laughing

Yes, would still like the sticker (I shouldn't be so arsey when you're offering freebies, should I..?) thanks.

Cheers

having too many vehicles may do more harm than good, especially if there's going to be a 'drive along' ?

Damned if you do and damned if don't on this one. Some people have the opinion that the only way to draw attention to the issue is to gridlock the place. Others think softly softly is the way!

I don't know what the answer is but I guess you have to be in it to win it!

Please can we have some further details of the meeting, scheduled for 25jan13?

The Peak District National Park Authority, only shows one meeting on 25jan13, namely the Audit, Resources & Performance Committee, see this link:

http://www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/looking-aft...-committee

No start time is shown. Don’t want us all to turn up and be on our own.

I'll check the details again with PDVUG and glass but it wouldn't be the first that that a meeting was put with a fuzzy description or at 9 AM on a Friday hoping to limit any protest!

TRF certainly confirmed this as the meeting for Chapelgate!

Looks right to me. Having a nosy through the old (Nov 2012 etc) meeting agenda's there is a quite a bit of stuff on TRO's...

e.g.

http://resources.peakdistrict.gov.uk/ctte/...tem6-1.pdf

I agree it is a vague name for a committee. Rolling Eyes
