Green Laning with a D3 in the Lake District
We had been planning a trip into the Lakes since before Xmas so even with the bad weather we decided to give it a go. It wasn't ideal filming weather and I had to throw quite a lot of footage away.

It was interesting because of the mix of vehicles. All Land Rovers but with my newer TDCi 110, a 300TDi 90 and then a nice D3, it made for some interesting comparisons.

The D3 was running road tyres and other than having to take a careful line through the rocks and its electronics scrabbling for traction here and there, it coped admirably!

We were down with two D3s and a D4 in November, they are brilliant cars, its just the fear of denting/breaking something, nothing to do with capability, which is why I bought a Defender. Thumbs Up 2015 RRS Autobiography SDV6

Yeah I completely agree with that. I had a Range Rover Sport for a while. Did everything with ease but I was living on my nerves when I took it out! Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos.

I like what you film it's good stuff.

How do you insert text commentary during your videos?

They are edited using some basic software mate. If you use a PC have a look at Windows movie maker. Its free!

I don't actually use that anymore but its what I started with and is dead easy to use!

For anyone that's got the time and likes my films, would you mind taking a look at this?

Its basically the same film but with music I've created myself. I've had a few comments saying that the 70's porn esq music brings the films down so I had a go at my own. Its time consuming but if it makes the final film better then maybe its worth it.
