you mean the T box?

all the drives take either a cable or the transducer.

if you want a td5 speedo then all you need is the 3 wire transducer to fit into the existing speedo drive in the side of the transfer box. they are about £20 ish. Bearmach do replacement parts. Cheers

If it's to run the Td5 speedo then you want the YBE100530 part.

Do not buy an aftermarket one, I have yet to hear of one reading correctly! Genuine ones are not that expensive (see above link).

No idea then really.

What vehicle do you have? What is the situation (ie. replacing gearbox)?

An R380 is to fit 300Tdi/Td5 vehicles, not Tdci.

Hi I have fitted a td5 engine and gearbox into defender 110 crew cab with a tdci bulk head. The rear of the transfer box as no holes to fit a transducer into so it looks like I need a rear housing.

Ah, well then you're going to have bigger issues.

As of current I am not yet aware of anybody making the Tdci instruments work with Td5 or older vehicles. Most of the dashboard and switchgear works fine, but the speedo and gauges are run very differently than older models. The speedo for example is driven by the ECU (which reads the speed sensor), whereas on a Td5 the speedo reads the sensor directly, and then the ECU reads off the speedo.

I've seen a Land Rover for sale where someone had grafted Td5 gauges into the Tdci dashboard, but it looked a bit odd.

If you use the loom for the td5 engine then the plug is already there for the speedo
