If you have access to it cable from Virgin, we don't down here and have to have BT broadband and then sky for tv but every one at work in Brum has cable and they recon the new tivo box is excellent. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Know someone who has Virgin but she had a problem with the broad band connection. Virgin didn't want to know because it's still BT wiring in her house. BT didn't want to know beacuse she is now using Virgin
![]() Good question and timing as I want to get a package also ![]() Phone bills £40 per month & Computer is £17 per month so should be able to make a saving plus more otpions ![]() |

We have BT for phone and broadband. There is very little chance of anything over 2mb speed out in the wilds.
Gave up on Sky and their stupid packages years ago, we now have Freesat and are more than happy with it. Im with Sky on a BT line at home and it works, However my mum over the road fromme has just had Virgin put in and the internet is rapid download over 35 meg in comparission to my Sky at just under 10.
Im out of contract with Sky now so i think im going to swap over to Virgin due to the internet speed. Pete |

cheers guys, we're lucky enough to have the choice and I'll probably get into trouble if I tell you all what I think of BT ... so we're going to give Virgin a try.. for 18months
all the Sky movies and sport etc + 60MBit Broadband + telephone etc .. a tivo and additional HD box + superhub (which will be replaced by a netgear router) ... 6 months at £40 ish, then £60 ish there on ... A few mates have Sky TV+BB+Telephone but are limited by the Sky router .. and there's not getting into it. I'll have a 2 y/o Sky HD box going if anyone's interested ?? |

We switched to plusnet and it was v good value. Had problems when we were having all the building work done but they just sent a new router out without quibbling.
Best thing no dodgy foreign call centres with people trying to pretend they are English. (Unless you call yorkshire folk dodgy and foreign ![]() We don't get super fast as we are too far from exchange but maybe one day we will get a fast line. Don't bother with telly, I make do with the free stuff and get net flicks for when I want a change and then I just stream it. Perfect for when the weather is blowing a gale and the satellite signal vanishes. Barbara |

If you use a cashback site like www.quidco.co.uk and you are a new customer to Sky you could get some cash back as well. 1999 Defender TD5 110
