i used to run one of these carriers, granted not one of the named ones above. it was on my td5 (later door design)

One hidden benefit is that the spare wheel no longer hits the rear light when open (With the Mantec)

Well ive fitted the Mantec wheel carrier today, bit of fiddling to get it how i want it, just waiting for mantec to send me some spacers as the studs are too long for my alloy wheel nuts, apart from that it looks good.
