2009 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Galway Green

spend my 3 grand..

I've got a newish SX 90, standard except for longer seat rails and improved stereo headunit.

it spends 99% of it's time on road, sometimes towing, and the offroad is muddy lanes and fields for shooting rather than 'proper' offroading.

I'd like to improve it's road manners a bit, spending as little as possible. What would you suggest, up to a max of 3 grand?

koni shocks and stiffer anti roll bars will give a more firm (but NOT harsh ride on road and not affect you level of off roading

Funny you should say that Martin, I was driving in to work this morning thinking about running a competition on the forum to give the new 'fcxRadioSwitch box' a more 'sexy' name ....

DJ - Truth be told, I didn't go with the orange because you'd suggested it (although I'm very grateful), I went with orange because an orange centre dash turned up in the box of stuff from Land Rover that I bought and no one else would buy it

Cut the budget to £2k'ish for road manners and drop a grand'ish on a decent alarm system and tracker (assuming you haven't already).

thanks for the tips.. I dont want anything that's going to make it *look* better, I want to make it *drive* better.

So no thanks to the fcx stuff or lamps.

but which company should I talk to about a remap, and which shocks / spring / roll bar combo should I be looking at?
