How do you rate the finish if the Masai 4x4 Alcantara panels? I’m thinking of Using them for my head lining.

really nice fit actually and quality seems great.

I was thinking to get black but they weren't sure if it would match my current headlining colour (twisted) wise but the lighter grey makes the back of the truck lots brighter.

Yeah, eager to get on with it.

For now, we are sending the non essential crew home... for the rest of us nothing yet... weird having 280 people in a ship designed for 8880.

We’ve been hit by the tail end of Andrew for the last few days, got some good pics..

That's amazing! i bet when its winter you get some killer snow storms! one of the lads i used to work with said the weather used to be worst out at sea than it was on land. Not sure how true that one is. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

It's typically now / September the worst comes through with the hurricanes,

Starts around June 1st and ends in November,

the best time is winter actually apart from missing Christmas / new year / my birthday (now 4 years in a row) It's the best time to be out, its not too hot and everyones frozen back home anyway and the dark nights...

winds at sea tend to get higher due to nothing slowing them down, i.e. no buildings / hills etc to slow anything down...

had bad news this afternoon, thought my hybrid rebuild would of been a week but been told not likely until late this weekend, promised it by Saturday which is highly annoying. Did give me a excuse to go over for my cousins 21st to Keswick in the newly decated vantage and deafen the people of Keswick.

gives me some more time to faff on, probably replace the air con condenser (have a genuine new one ready replace) and fit the genuine LR side steps, my other ones I had body coloured don't fit with Bowler sills
probably finish off the winch install on my 109, I might start a little thread on it actually.

its ridiculously huge and stable. you'd be so surprised what it can take.

Anyway, back to topic now that I have my turbo (3 week saga getting it rebuilt)

Installed a lot of the stuff I accumulated while at work,

Nugget stuff airbox was a pig even without a turbo / surrounding pipe work
windows in with alcantara surrounds
gave it a good wash other day too.

sorted the suspension to sit better using Gwyn lewis stuff
