do some people mount their head units so far away from the driver seat they need a remote control ? otherwise why would you have a head unit remote control ? Rolling with laughter

I always thought of them as a instrument of torture - where the kids in the back on a long journey can use the remote continually change the track, radio station and volume at any given moment!! Evil or Very Mad

Followed by my calm response of ejected said remote from the vehicle whilst travelling at high speed. Laughing

I confess to using the remote whn driving as its easier than pressing the tiny buttons on the hu when bouncing up and down.

Each to their own...
When I get my head units out of the new box, the remote goes straight in the bin.

Wait a minute....
As I run my iTunes off my phone through a Bluetooth head unit, I often hit 'next' on my phone and not reach over to the head unit.

Eureka Rolling with laughter

When converted my ex RAF ambulance into a camper...

...the remote was useful for controlling the head unit in the dash when yu were in the back of the vehicle. Steve.

I use my remote sometimes because I have a neck problem and reaching aggravates it (even if I am only pushing the next button on the iPhone in its holder on the dash next to the steering wheel). Our blog - http://landytravels.com/
