I always thought of them as a instrument of torture - where the kids in the back on a long journey can use the remote continually change the track, radio station and volume at any given moment!!
Followed by my calm response of ejected said remote from the vehicle whilst travelling at high speed. |

So you can sit round the camp fire and change tracks on your head unit without moving and knocking your beer over 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top

I confess to using the remote whn driving as its easier than pressing the tiny buttons on the hu when bouncing up and down.

Each to their own...
When I get my head units out of the new box, the remote goes straight in the bin. Wait a minute.... As I run my iTunes off my phone through a Bluetooth head unit, I often hit 'next' on my phone and not reach over to the head unit. Eureka |

When converted my ex RAF ambulance into a camper...

I use my remote sometimes because I have a neck problem and reaching aggravates it (even if I am only pushing the next button on the iPhone in its holder on the dash next to the steering wheel). Our blog - http://landytravels.com/
