Hi all,
Just thought I would share my interior light modification. I have bought two 48 LED pannels off ebay for next to nothing and soldered them together to get an interior light with 96 LEDS. Its a cheap and easy modifcation and looks pretty good. Its pretty easy to do but i will be happy to help others out heres the image.... ![]() Click image to enlarge |

hi chinnus,
great minds think alike - there are several threads on here about using multi led panels and i use a 6 led bulb for my lights, too. ![]() keep sharing the modifications, its always good to see what others have done ![]() |

as you can imagine it started as a 24 LED modification, then 48, now 96 - I think thats the limit

I would be interested to know which ebay seller you used for the lights please.
I bought two a while back, only one arrived and that had a couple of faulty leds and now quite a lot have failed, having said that they are still way brighter than the original and the seller did refund me all the way from the hong kong for the missing one - other things i bought at the same time were spot on. So if you can link to your seller I'd be interested in getting some replacements. Hi there, I have bought numerous and they all seem to be of pretty low quality. However for £1.50 delivered I dont think I can complain too much. These ones seem to be the best.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150871063192?ssP...994wt_1162 I then soldered the two together (after removing the foam backing which was a pain) then they just about fit in the light. If i had a dremmel I would remove the end off the two bolts in the actual light fitting to ensure a completely seamless fit However it does look pretty sharp and for £3 delivered well worth it |

I bought ones that looked exactly the same.
Unfortunately after a week, LEDs starting failing until there was only about 12 left working. But like you say, for £1.50 a pop, you can't really go wrong. If you could keep us up to date if any fail that would be great! ![]() |

Anyone found already warm LEDs, I do not like this cold, white-blue LEDS?

Was about to start a thread on this same subject, but did a search and glad I did - that's well cheap. Thanks.

They're polarity sensitive, have you tried putting the in the other way round?

It's because the backing plate of the light unit is permanent live so it's very easy to short out when fitting the springy adapter.
