Rear door
Hello,
I want to install a full width drawer into my '10 110. So I want to open my door more than the factory 90deg. I have seen some ST using a top mounted gas strut. Has someone modified the rear door to get full access?
Cheers

Have a chat with "Leeds" aka Brendan.

This thread tells you lots of info, but I think the gas strut only allows the door to open 90 degrees (which is a bit better than mine is now Thumbs Up ).
I've got one on order from Brendan, but the wing-tops I have also ordered are back-order, so it hasn't arrived yet so I can't comment from experience until the end fo the month Thumbs Up Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Thanks for that.
I actually thought putting the strut on top of the door!
Early Swiss Post 90's had this conversion done.

100inch is based in Australia, I am not sure what current drawer situation is in Australia.

Most full width drawers are not full width but have side pieces to account for the different wheel box shapes/ door opening mechanism.

Standard drawer units in the UK such as Mobile Storage Systems have a 3"(?) locker on the RHS to allow for the door stay of a Defender door.

Most drawer units will walk/move side to side as they are opened due to 'play' in the slider mechanism.

The Nakatanenga door struts we supply you have to be slightly careful on positioning it so that the door is clear off the drawer but the pre drilled holes align with the vertical door struts.

It would be possible to mount one high up. The only minor difficulty would be manufacturing a bracket to fit the top of the rear door frame.

I had a drawer from Mobilstoragesystems in my TD5 110 and it was a good setup.
But I try to find a way to have the full witdth of the tray.
I load a lot of tools for work so I want to maximise space.
